The FAQs you need

Our FAQs section is a valuable resource for parents, offering quick access to essential information about our daycare. It enhances transparency, reduces repetitive inquiries, and empowers parents to make informed decisions, ultimately promoting trust and efficiency in our childcare services.

Yes, we offer a variety of safe toys, games, puzzles, easels, and other resources that support your child’s mental, physical, social, and emotional development. We regularly introduce new and different toys each month for the children to enjoy.

Depending on drop-off and pick-up times, your child will receive appropriate meals, including breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. We ensure that all essential food groups are provided throughout the day to promote healthy eating habits. The cost of food is included in the tuition, with no additional charges.

We offer a wide range of activities for your child. Our daily schedule includes free play, circle time, arts & crafts, well-balanced meals, outdoor play, indoor play, and frequent field trips within our community. With our structured daily routine, you can be confident that your child will engage in language & literacy, mathematics, social-emotional learning, wellness, basic nutritional concepts, creative expression, and even begin learning a second language – Spanish.

We offer a wide variety of toys for your child to enjoy. Any toys brought from home will be shared with all the children that day. Please note that Nellie’s Daycare will not be held responsible for any broken or lost toys brought from home.

Each child is provided with a 2-inch foam nap mat, and we disinfect each bed weekly. Bringing a favorite blanket (for nap time only) is encouraged to help your child feel more comfortable during rest. Children are not required to sleep, but we encourage them to rest quietly.

Please provide a blanket for your child to use during nap time. All blankets are collected and washed weekly, so please ensure the blanket remains at the daycare throughout your child’s stay.

Phone calls, text messages, emails, and any social media contact between Nellie’s DayCare staff and child care parents are prohibited as long as your child(ren) are enrolled at Nellie’s DayCare. In the event of contact, it should be initiated by the provider, not any staff member. This policy is in place to ensure clear communication. The only exception will be in an emergency situation. If Jeanelle Vinson cannot be reached, a parent may then contact a staff member.

Placement in care: The deposit will be applied toward the last month’s billing. A full reimbursement of the tuition will be provided if parents decide to terminate their child’s care slot, provided that a 30-day written notice is given to the Day Care provider. Spaces will not be held unless the deposit fee is paid in full.

Part-time slots currently do not require a deposit, but this policy is subject to change. Registration is considered incomplete, and care will not commence until all paperwork is submitted. Prior to or on the start date of care, the following must be received by Nellie’s DayCare for each child:
