Our Goal & Philosophy

To support and nurture children in reaching their fullest potential, we aim to bridge the gap between home and school. We strive to guide them positively, helping them develop self-esteem and social skills within a loving home environment. Our curriculum is tailored to meet each child’s developmental readiness, fostering their individual expression to build confidence and responsibility.

We believe that this approach allows each child to realize their unique potential, promoting their social, physical, and intellectual growth. The early years of a child’s life are crucial for developing language, art, math, science, reading, and motor skills.

We are committed to forming a strong partnership with parents or guardians, recognizing that they are the ones most familiar with their child’s unique needs. We will play a supportive role, valuing your insights, which will enable us to provide the best care for each child.

We appreciate your interest and the opportunity to serve you.

Our Story

“My husband and I welcomed our first child in September 2004. After relocating from Washington State to Foster City, California, we decided to expand our family and have a second son. In 2005, while I was pregnant, I initially planned to return to work. However, I encountered difficulties in finding a daycare provider I trusted for my oldest son. This prompted me to pursue licensing by the state of California and open a daycare facility of my own.

With all our family residing in Oregon, we eagerly anticipated our return. In April 2008, we finally made the move. I was enthusiastic about reopening my daycare business in Oregon and resuming my work in nurturing the growth of these little ones. Nellie’s DayCare officially opened its doors in May 2008, just one month after our move to the state. I take great pride in being a part of the lives of so many children, both those from the past and those in the future.”
